You should have received a letter from the Local Authority explaining their proposal to remove the subsidy on school bus fare for students attending denominational schools.

The students who receive this subsidy are Catholic, attended the designated feeder school and live over 3 miles from our school.

Removing this entitlement will remove the option for many Catholic families to have access to a Catholic school.

This is discriminatory and could alter the nature of our “fully comprehensive” school.

• DON’T SIT BACK AND DO NOTHING  BECAUSE IT DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR CHILD
• Write a letter or e-mail to the address in the letter
• Copy your local MP into your letter/e-mail
• Copy local councillors into your letter/e-mail
